My family—through a Christian missionary living in Guatemala— has for many years been deeply involved with providing simple, efficient, properly ventilated concrete stoves to indigenous families, attempting to mitigate the considerable deleterious health effects of traditional open-flame cooking methods.
Thank you for introducing me to BHLF. I see its goals as similar to the Guatemalan mission, and I applaud your efforts to make it more widely known and supported. I will happily become a subscriber.
Hi, Robert. The idea is to ask my subscribers! no strings attached, to donate $50 to the Bettering Human Lives Foundation through me per year - that’s about $0.50 per post as I aim for two posts a week). Then, I will match that in a donation to BHLF for the first 1,000 subscribers. So, BHLF would get $100,000 if I ever get to 1,000 paid subscribers, and if there are more, that will also go to BHLF without my match.
So the more subscribers, the more I donate. Of course, subscribers can continue to read for free.
I am thinking of starting that before the end of the year. Are there better ways t do this? What do you think?
